Christmas Concert 5th December

Thames Chamber Choir presents a festive selection of traditional Advent and Christmas carols, accompanied by harp. With music from as far afield as Denmark and Estonia, as well as from Germany and Britain, this programme is united by the sense of musical and textual traditions on which each piece uniquely draws. Sources such as chorales, plainsong, carols, and folk tunes, spanning seven centuries from the thirteenth to the nineteenth, variously inform and inspire this range of seasonal choral music.
