Andrew Campling is a graduate of Keble College, Oxford, and directs Marcel Sinfonia, London Docklands Singers, and Thames Chamber Choir; he is also chorus master of the Choir of the London School of Economics. Five CDs of his music have been released, and his works have been performed in venues including St Paul’s Cathedral, the Purcell Room, and the Royal Albert Hall. Recent commissions include a Concerto for Trumpet, Piano and Strings, to be premiered at St James Garlickhythe, London on Saturday 14 July 2018.
Christian Spielmann is a freelance conductor and singer. He has studied conducting with Gerd Müller-Lorenz (Lübeck Academy of Music), Gregory Rose (Trinity College of Music) and Denise Ham (Greenwich Music School). Having worked with several choirs both in Germany and the UK, he now leads Thames Chamber Choir, alongside Andrew Campling, and recently took the choir on tour to his native Germany. He has a strong interest in musical collaboration with artists from other disciplines.
